FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEHope Street Kids Joins in National Gathering to Conquer Childhood Cancer
Washington, DC, September 25, 2007 — Hope Street Kids, a pediatric cancer initiative founded by Congresswoman Deborah Pryce and Randy Walker, will join dozens of pediatric survivors, patient families and advocates on the Capitol Hill in commemoration of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, to raise awareness about the pediatric cancer and the need for increased funding for pediatric cancer research.
Hope Street Kids co-founder Randy Walker commented, "we are honored to be an important partner in the effort to join forces in our nation's capital on this day and send a message of hope and renewed commitment to lead fight against the number disease killer of our nation’s children—pediatric cancer. We hope that the participation of so many families and organizations will send a signal to our nation's leaders that we will not rest until a cure is found."
